Things I'm Looking Forward To In October

Tuesday, 3 October 2017

October is one of my absolute favourite months of the year. It reminds me of cold, crisp mornings; crunchy Autumn leaves; pumpkin carving and chai lattes. September fringes on Autumn but October is fully-fledged Autumn and that is so exciting to me! I don't have as crazy a month as I did last month, but there's still lots to look forward to!

My Dad Coming To Visit

As it was my birthday on the 30th September, my dad is treating Johnny and I to a really nice meal and a trip to the theatre. As of yet, we have no idea where we are going or what we are seeing but I trust my dad to pick somewhere delicious for a meal and a really great play and the fact that it is a surprise makes it far more interesting and exciting! All we've been told is that we have to dress up smartly for dinner because it's not a "t-shirt and jeans" kind of place! It will also be really nice to spend an evening with my dad and his girlfriend as we hardly ever see any family anymore as we live in the big smoke!

Meeting The SacconeJolys

I love watching the SacconeJolys every day. The kids are so cute and Anna and Jonathan are just hilarious - they're the kind of YouTubers that I'm like "yes, we'd be friends!" when I watch them. Even though their fans are mostly 14 years old and I am now 20 (it was my birthday yesterday, yikes), Johnny and I will be joining them at their Bluewater signing on the 21st of this month. We will be bringing them home-made brownies and presents for the kids and getting the copies of 'The Great Cat Nap' signed by the whole gang.

Halloween!

This goes without saying but Halloween is this month and I am so excited. Last year, despite being it being my first Halloween at university, I couldn't go out or dress up as I was really suffering from a terrible cold at the time and so spent Halloween snuggled up under a duvet watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix (which is, to be honest, how I spend most of Autumn). However, this Halloween, I really want to either throw a party or attend one and I have plans to go as Sandy from Grease - my favourite musical ever. I'm hoping Johnny will dress up as Danny but I'm more than 90% he will not partake in my Grease fantasy. I got chills about Halloween this year, and they're multiplying!

  25. Sounds like a fun month ahead. I love when my dad surprises me and must be a fun plan with him. I love the Sacconejolys and been watching since Anna was pregnant with Emilia so I know how you feel with the whole friends thing. I would love to meet them but I don't live in the UK. Good luck with that and hope you have a great October!
