Hello August! You’ve come around quickly!
I can’t believe that it’s August already. It seems like yesterday that I was typing up a blog post about my New Year’s resolutions, and now 8 months (so 3/4) of 2017 is over! It seems crazy to me that 2018 is just around the corner. I have a few fun things planned in August, so I thought I’d share with you guys what I’m looking forward to this month.
My Mum is Coming to London!
On Friday the 4th, my mum is coming up to The Big Smoke to visit me! The hardest thing about permanently moving out of home is missing my mum (and the dogs and cats I’ve left behind) is one of the worst things about leaving home, so anytime I get to see her I get extremely excited for. She is bringing 1 – 3 boys with her (in the form of my brother, and step-brothers) which is less exciting but hopefully we will have a great day exploring central. I’m exceptionally excited for this!
Johnny is turning 20!
Johnny’s birthday is on the 13th of August and I get more excited for his birthday than my own! He doesn’t really like to make a fuss for his birthday – he says it’s just another day! – so we are going out for dinner, just the two of us, and having a really nice day together where he chooses everything we get to do (even though he is the most indecisive person ever!) and I also get to give him the presents I’ve been carefully planning since May!
Friends Coming to Stay!
I haven’t seen my uni friends since the end of May when they all went home for the summer, but on the 18th, Lucy is coming up to stay for the whole weekend and then Katie is dropping in for a night on her way back from China – yeah, she’s insanely cool – and hopefully she’ll bring back lots of waving cats and spring rolls. I’m really excited to see these two as I haven’t seen them in ages, and I know they read my blog occasionally, so if either of you are reading just know I’m excited.
One Month Closer to DisneyLand
When this month ends, it marks one month until we go to DisneyLand Paris. I can’t wait to actually do some travelling this year as I haven’t left the country yet in 2017 and I think going back to France will really bring up some happy childhood memories – and some wet ones, the Rennard Rain Curse in Paris is real and I’m apologising to anyone in the Paris area at the end of September for the rain storm I am going to bring.
These are the things I am really looking forward to about the month of August. Have you guys got anything exciting planned?
