Winter Date Ideas

It’s only a month (and a little bit) until Christmas! That’s right – the big C is coming around quicker than we think! Christmastime is all about spending time with loved ones so today I’m going to share with you some festive date ideas, similar to my budget date ideas, for things you can do with your other half this festive period!

Going to Christmas Markets

What is more festive than a trip to a market? Wondering around, sipping mulled wine, having a warm mince pie, the cold air nipping at your fingertips, buying exciting presents and delicious treats for your friends and family sounds like the complete festive dream to me. I am obsessed with the Bath Christmas Market and it makes me so sad that Johnny and I have moved away from the West Country as we won’t be able to go this year. However, I’m sure London has tonnes of fantastic markets we can explore! Don’t have anyone to take to a market? Find your match this Christmas using this older dating site!
Exploring Winter Wonderland

Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, London is the ultimate Christmas experience. Johnny and I went last year and it was so lovely to stroll around, sample some festive treats and try our hand at some of the fairground rides. But, heed my advice! If you can help it, don’t visit Winter Wonderland on a weekend. It will be heaving and you won’t be able to move. If you can, visit mid-week. My being a student and having a flexible schedule and Johnny working in retail means that we can luckily go for adventures during the week, so we don’t get bogged down by the Winter Wonderland traffic! Find someone to visit Winter Wonderland on this Suffolk dating site!
Going For Coffee

Is there anything better than visiting Starbucks in the winter months and grabbing a Gingerbread Latte and a festive bundt cake? I don’t think so! Going out for coffee and sampling festive drinks is a perfect way to spend a chilly, winter morning! I work at Starbucks, so it’s also a fabulous way to go and visit my colleagues, as well as getting the staff discount! I am completely obsessed with Gingerbread Lattes at this time of year as well, and they just taste like Christmas to me! I love spending the morning in a cosy coffee shop when I’m not working a shift! Treat someone from a Hertfordshire dating site to a Gingerbread Latte this winter!
Ice Skating

A few weekends ago, Johnny and I went ice skating in Leyton and we had the best time, despite the fact I did nearly cry because I was so scared at first. I didn’t quite get the hang of it – Johnny was a lot better than me – and did resemble Bambi for quite a lot of the time we were there but hopefully with a few more visits, I will be really great. Again, something to avoid during the weekend unless you want to be dodging children’s parties and crashing into 7 year olds. If you want to try out ice skating this year and need someone to hold you hand, you can check out this Southampton dating site.
Going For a Meal

Okay, yes, you can do this any time of the year but around the festive period, lots of restaurants have deals on which means you can eat like kings and still save pennies, which is perfect. For example, today Johnny and I went to Byron burger and each had £15 off of a £33 bill, so we got a burger and fries each, plus a glass of wine (or cider in Johnny’s case) for £1.75 each, which was crazy. In the run up to Christmas, sign up to email newsletters of restaurants to get access to these great deals. I find that Prezzo have particularly good ones at this time of year and they constantly send me 2 for 1 mains vouchers or a free dessert! If you want to be thrifty and full with someone this winter, you can find your match on this Sheffield dating site!

I love the festive season and I love that, for the third year of my life, I’m going to have someone special to do all these festive and fun activities with. What are your favourite things to do come winter time?

Ice skating is such a fun date idea, especially if you want a cringe-free excuse to hold hands with a new partner hehe! I definitely resemble Bambi on an ice rink so I feel your pain there! I have been meaning to go to Winter Wonderland for years but have never quite managed to get there – let's make 2017 the year it FINALLY happens hehe!

Omg going to Winter Wonderland is something I have literally wanted to do forever, I'm not sure if we'll get there this year but definitely next year alongside an overnight stay! Ice skating is always a fun one, we have one in Southampton over the Christmas period and I can't wait to go! Xx

I love Christmas markets – we are going to the one in Bath for Ed’s Work Christmas celebrations this year which is a little different than a meal and I’m so excited! I also love winter wonderland but I’m really not liking going into London lately so I don’t think we will make it there this year. Great post! x

I love all of these, the Christmas markets, the meals out, winter wonderland! Jonny and I always try and visit a Christmas Market; we absolutely love them! He's yet to go to Winter Wonderland (I've been twice) as he has always been working away over the festive period but this year he isn't (HURRAY!!) so I'm planning on a surprise visit in between christmas and new year for him to catch it before it goes away again for the rest of the year. This has just reminded me how much I love dates and Christmas when its spent with somebody I love!

Cute ideas. I've been to Winter Wonderland a couple of times in the past but I don't think I could go now – it just gets busier every year and my anxiety would send me to the floor in those crowds! Which is a shame because it looks so fun. I'd also recommend – if you're on a real budget and also want to stay in – creating a cosy home cinema with popcorn, movies, fairy lights etc!

It's really lovely and so nice that it's free as well – especially when for some London can be expensive to travel to!
