First Impressions: Friction Free Shaving

Shaving my legs is something that I loathe. I find it annoying to do, painful during and after and have never found a product that truly works for me. Well, until now. Friction Free Shaving offer smooth legs to your doorstep and today I’m going to be sharing with you my first impressions of their gift box, which is currently on offer for just £25…

If you want to see the moment where I opened the box that FFS sent me and my reaction to the stunning, rose gold razor that has my name engraved on it, then I actually recorded my first ever YouTube video which you can watch below. That was my true first impressions of the products so if you’re interested in my awkward reactions to the fabulous goodies I got then you can watch below. But, if you’re more of a fan of the written word, then you can read my first impressions below…
The Razor & Razor Blades

I have never felt a nicer razor than this. It’s so weighty which is really fantastic compared to the Venus razors I usually use. Not to mention it’s a blogger’s dream as it’s ROSE FREAKIN’ GOLD. Oh, and also engraved with my name which was such a lovely surprised. As someone who would literally have personalised everything if she could, this really pleases my soul. I’ve only shaved my legs twice using the razor but the blades are so sharp and precise and I didn’t cut myself once. The razor is flexible, easily manoeuvrable around your awkward bits like knees and toes and makes for a really comfortable shave. I’m really impressed at not only the aesthetic of this brand but also the quality of the products.

The Pre-Shave Scrub, Shaving Cream & Post Shave Balm

The idea of a pre-shave scrub is completely new to me. However, it’s a concept that’s changed my life. The idea is that you’re supposed to stimulate the hair follicles to avoid ingrown hairs which I have a massive problem with on certain areas of my body. And, my god, does it work. Since using this scrub, I haven’t had any issues with soreness and razor bumps after I shave which honestly, for me, is unheard of. I’m pretty sure that it’s the scrub that is helping with this aspect as it’s a completely new concept to me. The scrub also smells amazing and contains manuka honey and almond milk which are extremely moisturising and good for your sensitive bits!
This shave cream is like nothing I’ve tried before. Usually, I opt for a cheap shaving foam in the shower, probably from the men’s department and probably Johnny’s. However, this is kind of moisturiser consistency. It’s such a soft, silky shaving cream which easily covers your legs and makes deliciously smooth. Again, this contains manuka honey which does nothing but wonders for your skin but it also contains coconut oil and shea butter which are also beautiful skin-softners. I will never use 99p men’s shaving foam again after using these delicious treats.
The post shave balm smells incredible. That is the first thing I have to say about it. It smells honest to god incredible. I say in the video that it just smells to me like moisturised skin. It has the most hydrating, luxurious feeling when you rub it into your skin. Because it’s specifically designed for post-shave, it’s extremely gentle and doesn’t sting to your freshly-shaved, sensitive bits. My skin can sometimes react really badly to moisturisers – particularly fragranced ones – especially after I’ve just shaved but this is kind to my skin whilst still being a bloody fabulous balm.

All in all, I am so incredibly impressed with the products I’ve tried from Friction Free Shaving. The entire aesthetic of the brand is so appealing but the products are also top quality which makes it even better. Remove razor burn from your life & go friction free for yourself here!

These look so nice! I’ve never heard of the brand before but this looks so much better than my current shaving equipment (a rubbishy disposable and conditioner to soften the hair a bit!) x

I used FFS last year and the blades lasted so long! My hair is quite thick so whenever I shave my legs they usually grow back really quickly but when I used this the results were longer! xx

I'm also a huge Friction Free Shaving fan! Their shave cream is such an amazing product, I can definitely not go back to the cheap men's alternative after trying this either!! The personalised razor is also such a lovely touch, and the metal is such good quality! Glad you were just as impressed as I was!
