Ultimate Men’s 2017 Christmas Gift Guide

I find the men in my life some of the hardest to shop for. I never know what to get them; either it’s because whatever they want they have the money to just go out and buy (cough, Johnny & my dad, cough) or just because I’m not that close to them anymore and don’t know what they like (I’m looking at you, little brother!). I thought today I’d share with you some ideas I had for Christmas presents for men in the hope that it might inspire you to buy for that tricky man in your life…

Daniel Wellington 44mm St. Mawes & Glasgow Strap Watch Gift Set || £149

A watch is such a luxurious thing to buy someone at Christmas time and when it comes to watches there’s only one place I go – and that’s Daniel Wellington! They have an incredibly fantastic deal –“holiday gifts for everyone” – on for you guys this festive period whereby if you buy two watches then you get 10% off your entire order so you can kill two birds with one stone and get two gifts for two men in your life and get a fab discount. And, if you do choose to shop Daniel Wellington this Christmas, then they have very kindly given me a 15% discount code for you guys to use! Just use chloealr at the checkout when you shop at Daniel Wellington! And, best of all, it will be used on top of the 10% if you do choose to buy two! I especially love the DW sets for men this Christmas because they come with two straps meaning if you have a fussy man in your life (I have a few!) then you have double the chance of getting them the perfect gift! Shop Daniel Wellington’s festive gift sets here!
This one is a present for my dad, because he is a true blue through and through. He loves Chelsea FC and drives me and his other half absolutely batty with the time he spends watching Chelsea or Sky Sports News. When Johnny and I went shopping a few weeks back, I found this book in the ‘sporting’ section of Foyles and knew it would be up my dad’s street completely. So, if you have a football mad man in your life then this is definitely something you need to get. It’s the perfect stocking filler; full of player stats and facts about the club that normal people (i.e. me) would not care about but for a football fanatic, this would be the one. If your man is football mad but prefers another team, you can get similar books about Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

Do you have someone in your life who enjoys following politics? If not, you’re sure to have someone in your life that despises Donald Trump (and if you don’t, you need new friends). This little stocking filler would be perfect for someone like that. It’s full of, basically, all the dumb shit that Donald Trump has ever said. I know, I was surprised it was so short too. It makes for a really light-hearted, cheap and fun stocking filler for that person in your life who just cannot stand the Wotsit in charge of America. I must confess, although this is in a men’s gift guide, Johnny and I are actually gifting this to his mum’s partner who is a woman and also a long-term Trump hater.

A Silk Tie from Ermenegildo Zegna || £140

Johnny works a job where he wears a tie everyday. So, the man needs a lot of ties. When buying Johnny a present, I can never go wrong with a tie. For Valentine’s Day last year I purchased him a Ted Baker knitted tie and he was over the moon. If you have a man in your life who wears a lot of ties, a good quality tie is a fail-safe option for a Christmas gift. Johnny owns about 6 or 7 of these Ermenegildo Zegna silk ties and I just think they do the most gorgeous patterns and the ties are so soft and high quality. They are a little more expensive that a Ted Baker tie but if you’re looking to really spoil a man this Christmas then I definitely recommend picking up a tie like this one!

If you read my gifting post with Fragrance Direct last month then this fragrance requires no introduction. Johnny is a sucker for a new scent and I always treat him to one around the festive period. This year he was gifted Wow! by Joop from Fragrance Direct and couldn’t be happier with it. It’s an affordable, delicious smelling fragrance that has a very swish bottle and long-lasting and delicious scent. I won’t go into too much more detail, but I think fragrance can be a fantastic gift for a man around Christmas as I often find this is something that they don’t buy for themselves. #NotSponsored but if you do want somewhere to get your fragrances at a fantastic price, then I do recommend Fragrance Direct. I buy all my perfumes from there and love the service and prices they provide, so do make sure not to give them a miss this Christmas.

Cufflinks from Charles Tywritt || £39.95

Again, going back to the formal wear, but another present I always buy my dad and Johnny is cufflinks. They both have jobs where they wear a suit a lot (Johnny does more than my dad!) so buying them formalwear accessories is always a fail safe for me. I bought Johnny cufflinks for his birthday and for a moving in/new job present when we moved to London back in May and I’ve found the best place to get them is Charles Tywritt. They have a fantastic selection and beautiful designs. I love the Soldadite Stone collection and the pair featured in the photographs are actually a pair from that collection but they’re unavailable in that colour – but the darker blue is just as nice. I totally recommend buying cufflinks as a present this Christmas!

London Paper Cutting by Karte Graphik || £35-110

This is by far the most special present in my gift guide this year. Now, I’ve already given this to Johnny as a premature Christmas gift because he does read my blog and would’ve seen it but that doesn’t take away from how special it is. Karte Graphik provide unique paper cutting artwork of your favourite city – even your favourite mile of a city. This little square mile version of London has been carefully crafted out of paper and just looks fantastic. They’re easy to get framed and you can get them in varying sizes. A great present idea for a city dweller would be having their mile of a city cut out of paper and set on a colour of your choice. If you want to see the artist in action, there are many videos showing the process on their website. London is a special city for Johnny and I as it’s where we made our first home, so I wanted to honour that this Christmas and I think Karte Graphik did that perfectly – especially as the square mile is specific to your area.

So, there we have it. These are my top picks for men’s gifting this Christmas! I hope this has helped you get some inspiration and that some of the men in your lives will be unwrapping some of these goodies under the tree in 3 weeks (!!!!!) time!
