I am so nosy and I love taking a look at what people got for Christmas. I think the gifts that you receive say a lot about a person! This year I was so lucky to get some amazing presents and so have decided to show you all some of my favourite gifts from Christmas 2017…
This was by far my favourite and most surprising present of this Christmas. This was from Johnny and I was not expecting it at all. He’d known I wanted a polaroid camera for ages and found me this one, the Rose Gold Fujifilm Instax, which is actually exclusive to John Lewis. This present was so thoughtful as not only does it show he knows me well from the colour choice but also that he knows me well and listens to me when I’m rambling about how much I’d love an album full of cute polaroid pictures. I took so many lovely shots on this at Christmas and New Year (some you can see above!) and I’m so, so chuffed with it! It was the most perfect and thoughtful gift and I am so thrilled to finally have something to capture memories so beautifully. I can’t wait for 2018 to be filled with polaroids!
Another present from Johnny that I didn’t ask for but he completely smashed it. Diva is a shade I’ve been eyeing up for the longest time and I was so happy when I unwrapped this on Christmas morning! He told me that he bought it as an accident – he meant to get me ‘Chilli’ but somehow messed up and got this one instead! However, I’m still over the moon with it and it is a shade that I’ve been wanting for ages as it is such a cult favourite. I’ve already worn it a few times and can confirm that it is very beautiful shade, extremely long wearing and comfortable (as nearly every MAC Lipstick I’ve tried has been!). Johnny did so well this Christmas with surprising me with things I’ve wanted for ages and I’m so happy.
I was kind of expecting these Vans from my dad. I’d given him 3 different pairs of shoes I wanted and told him to pick his favourite and these were the ones he chose. I’ve wanted a pair of Old Skool Vans for the longest time and so I was so thrilled to unwrap these – especially as they are pink (which if you missed it, is my favourite colour!). Because they’re quite a baby, pale pink they go with so many outfits and look so cool when I’m wearing my mom jeans. They are suede which means I need to treat them so that they don’t go funny when they are inevitably exposed to the Great British weather. I’m currently in the process of wearing them in as they have been rubbing my feet a bit but I’m sure they’ll be so comfortable soon!
My mum got me and Johnny matching personalised Emma Bridgewater mugs this year which was so lovely of her. She’d seen my tweet saying that it was my goal in life to own entirely Emma Bridgewater kitchenware so thought she’d start us off. These mugs are gorgeous as they are hand painted, really quite hefty and just feel so nice to drink from. It’s hands down my favourite mug and I love that Johnny and I have matching ones – it’s so cute! My mum is the queen of thoughtful, tasteful gifts and she really nailed it this year with these mugs. They were hands down one of my most favourite gifts.
This was another gift from Johnny but I did ask him for this one. I’d been after one of the iconic initial mugs from Anthropologie for a while and on Christmas morning I unwrapped this one. I am obsessed with anything gold and anything personalised so this was a winner for me. It’s a really big mug so perfect for huge hot chocolates or chai lattes with lots of whipped cream and marshmallows. I love mugs that have an unusual shape to them and Anthropologie nail that trend with their mugs – they’re all so unusual and quirky. I definitely want to pick some more of their mugs up over the next few months as they have some really lovely designs but this was a great place to start. Thank you, Johnny!
The Eight-Hour Cream from Elizabeth Arden is such a cult product and I was thrilled to unwrap this on Christmas Day, even though I’d picked it (and paid for it) myself. The Eight Hour Cream is so is especially so great: I use it on my lips and heels to prevent cracking and it works like a dream. I love how mini the little hand cream is as well, means it’s perfect to go in my handbag! I have to say, though, that the 8 Hour Cream does have a very weird smell to it that I personally really like but Johnny hated. I used it on his lips because they were really cracked and he said it was disgusting and that he couldn’t get rid of the taste for hours. So – I guess it’s not for everyone!
I had such a lovely Christmas with my family and am so lucky to have received some of these amazing gifts from them. I’m so nosy and I love reading these posts so am by no means bragging! Tell me what you got for Christmas!
