You may know, if you read this blog or follow me over on Instagram, that my all-time favourite beauty brand is Charlotte Tilbury. I’ve had the immense pleasure this year and last year to work with them. I’ve compiled a selection of some of my favourite Charlotte Tilbury products, new to me and old favourites, that I think you need in your make-up bag!
Firstly, let’s talk base. In my opinion, for moisturiser, you can’t beat Charlotte’s Magic Cream. I received a sample of this in the first PR parcel Charlotte Tilbury sent me back in November and I haven’t stopped using it since. It’s a very thick moisturiser so a little goes a long way but, oh my god, is it good! The first time I used this, I woke up the next morning and could’ve sworn my skin felt the nicest it ever has – and yes, that includes my infant years. It’s hydrating, luxurious and, if you’re in the market for a deep moisturise, you can’t go wrong with this. Another skin product I’ve been in love with is the Wonderglow. This primer with a gold tint has amazing blurring and anti-aging properties, aiming to give your skin a “spotlight” look. I really love this primer and think it’s winner for beautiful skin.
Do I even need mention this foundation now? You all know it’s my favourite. The Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation has been a firm favourite of mine for a good year and I am constantly featuring it on here. At the moment I am testing out the Hourglass one so have taken a little break from my beloved Magic but it’s one I always come back to and always will be obsessed with. It’s just the perfect one for me: long lasting, demi-matte, full-coverage and the perfect colour match (I’m the shade ‘2’). I talked a little more in-depth about this foundation in my 2017 beauty favourites so if you’re keen for a more in-depth review, then you can head over there. I just adore this foundation and would recommend it to absolutely anyone.
A new product to me – but something I’ve been lusting after for the longest time – is the Filmstar Bronze & Glow. When I told my friends a few weeks ago that I didn’t have it, they were in complete disbelief because they can’t live without it. Charlotte Tilbury did good and really kindly sent this one over to me (in light/medium) to try out and I am obsessed. Seriously, this is the stuff. The bronzer is the perfect shade for me: not too dark but also not too light that it doesn’t show up. The highlighter is beautiful for a natural, lit from within kind of look and the packaging – oh, the packaging – in true Tilbury style is to die for. It’s really handy for travelling as well because it means your bronzer and your highlighter are all in one handy place. If you’re new to Charlotte Tilbury, I’d recommend picking this up because there is a reason it’s so iconic: it’s because it’s bloody good.
I only own one eye palette from Charlotte Tilbury and that is that the The Golden Goddess eye-shadow quad. This was the first ever product I picked up from Charlotte Tilbury and thus is what started my obsession with this incredible brand. This palette is amazing. Not only is the packaging so gorgeously sleek and compact, the eye shadows inside are some of the most buttery and pigmented shades I’ve ever used. When travelling, I only take this palette with me because it’s so compact but you can get really beautiful looks out of it. My favourite shade is the pale gold because it has the most amazing pigmentation to give your lids that bright pop but it also can be muted down for a more classy, office-suitable look. If you’re in the market for some Charlotte Tilbury eye-shadows but want to ‘try before you buy’ the big palette then I’d definitely recommend getting yourself one of these! I’ve also been a huge fan of the Full Fat Lashes Mascara since I was very kindly sent one by the lovely people over at Charlotte Tilbury and I love the lift, volume and separation that it gives my lashes – a must have, in my opinion!
Finally; lips! All of my beauty-loving life I’ve lusted over the Pillow Talk lipstick & lip cheat duo and after months of trying to pick them both up (they’re always out of stock), the PR team at CT answered my prayers and sent them both over to me. Pillow Talk is the most perfect nude pink colour. Both the lipstick and the liner are insanely pigmented, soft and creamy to apply. There’s no weird sharpness that hurts your lips to these liners; they’re soft and incredibly long-lasting. I’m so happy to finally have both of these in my collection and, in my opinion, if you are in the market for your first Charlotte Tilbury lipstick but have no idea which one to get, I’d pick Pillow Talk. It’s easy to wear, goes with every look and, I’m sure, would suit nearly every skin tone.
